Overview

Murray McIntosh are currently seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer as detailed below:

You will be designing and developing a range of generator sets, driveline integration & power packs for regions worldwide and taking complete ownership of engineering and delivery from components to the whole product.

You will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering team, developing process and implementing them into the business as well as owning the mechanical system.

Sound mechanical engineering knowledge and team leadership experience is essential for this role.

Previous experience working on generators, power packs, batteries or motors would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to Day Management of a team of engineers ensuring they deliver the work programme from specification through analysis, testing and development, to final sign-off
  • Driving process & productivity improvement across systems
  • Most important is the process organisation, implementation & way of working. FMEAs, DVPS.
  • Principal Engineers own their system as an expert/SME
  • Defining clear and robust processes that will allow them to deliver programmes more efficiently and more quickly in the future
  • You must be able to chair design review meeting, critque designs & interrogate in detail

  • DFMEA & DVP knowledge (component and system)
