We are delighted to have been appointed in the search for an Electrical and Controls Design Engineer. Our client is a global engineering and manufacturing organisation, well thought of and respected in their fields of expertise, and one that because of its global footprint has been able to grow despite the current climate.

To achieve its strategic aims and committing to further investment in its UK capabilities, this organisation is expanding the engineering functions and the role of Electrical and Controls Design Engineer is a key hire. Reporting to the engineering management, this person will help the development of the engineering team on a day to day basis and perform the following duties:

• Ensure all work meets compliance and legislative standards
• Hold client meeting, take specification and design
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical is key to allow smooth flow of CAD design
• Creat electrical schematic/drawings
• Code PLC software as per specification
• Manage life-cycle of project work and document accordingly
• Produce BOM
• Test and troubleshooting (carry out FAT/SAT)

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
• Experience of working within the engineering environment
• Ability to use Microsoft office
• Understanding of machinery directive
