Working with the CFO and Executive Management Team you will manage and deliver all areas of accounting from the day-to-day through to producing management reporting packs, statutory accounts and regulatory reporting. The individual will also be involved with producing financial data for existing and new investors. This is an exciting time to be joining the organisation as it enters a new strategic growth phase, one that will encompass both organic and in-organic opportunity.

Manage and control a finance team to ensure timely delivery of financial data to enable the management team to make financial decisions in running a fast-moving FinTech business.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Day-to-day management of the finance team
  • Prepare monthly forecast, annual budgets and three-year plans
  • Prepare management reports and financial information
  • Produce analysis of monthly management accounts, regulatory and statutory returns
  • Build a finance function that allows the business to scale
  • Hands-on approach to finance
  • Integrate finance into all areas of the business
  • Draft and implement finance policy and procedures
  • Treasury management
  • Manage all audits
  • Deliver efficiency metrics, CAC (Cost of Acquisition), Cost of Serve etc.
  • Forge strong relationships across the business and be able to manage multiple stakeholders.

Finance team responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable & receivable
  • Sales & client commissions
  • Assist with audits
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Produce management accounts and financial reports at the company and group level
  • Complete any other ad hoc duties as required.

Experience and attributes

  • Qualified accountant
  • Experience in group accounting
  • Be able to pick things up quickly with high attention to both detail and accuracy
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced expanding FinTech, liaising directly with senior management and investors
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment. Willing to get involved in detailed day to day finance requirements as well as involvement in projects
  • Articulate, numerate, organised, hard-working, good listener, can build excellent relationships with colleagues and experienced at being a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, good team working skills, able to manage own workload, tenacious attention to detail and complete finisher. Able to lead from the front and instil positivity into the finance team.
