A leading trade association in the manufacturing space are seeking a Policy Manager to join their team.
In this newly developed role, focusing on employment and skills policy, the post-holder will have the opportunity to shape the role as new challenges arise. This role will cover a vast array of issues inclusive of access to skilled works, immigration, and future access to workforce following developments with Brexit.
Key responsibilities will include:
Keeping abreast of any policy developments effecting the industry
Developing and improving policy positions of the association
Project management of key projects effecting the industry, inclusive of monitoring, delivering and reporting success
Engaging with key stakeholders such as government officials and members, seeking collaboration where appropriate
Line management responsibilities
The successful applicant will need:
Experience working within employment, skills and workforce policy
Experience planning and leading on projects
Experience within EU policy / public affairs - desirable
Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of liaising with various stakeholders and producing clear, persuasive documents
The ability to independently manage workload and prioritise tasks
