Policy Officer

To working alongside the Policy team and supporting lobbying activity and exceptional written communications. Understanding of a membership body and working closely with Parliament is essential. If you have a "Can Do" attitude and dyamic personality, this is the perfect role for you.

Education / experience:

  • Experience of well developed report writing
  • Experience of lobbying and policy, including policy development
  • Working knowledge of legislative processes and procedures within the UK, and how to interpret these documents
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and knowledge of external relations

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with wider Policy and Public Affairs team to articulate policy positions which will influence key stakeholders
  • Preparing persuasive and reasoned responses to Government matters
  • Assisting with lobbying Government, affiliated ministers and other relevant parties
  • Formulating fact sheets to support member compliance
  • Writing persuasive and engaging written content to support campaigns and external affairs
  • Attending internal and external meetings
