The role can be primarily based in London though could equally be based out of their office in Berkshire or the South West. Flexible and hybrid working comes as standard for all employees, too!
In this Public Affairs consultant role, you will oversee the day-to-day management of client accounts, identify issues that affect clients, and help to develop new business.
In your first few weeks as a Public Affairs consultant, you can expect to:
- Work as part of a dynamic team
- Support the delivery of political and stakeholder contact programmes
- Draft carefully crafted briefing notes to elected representatives and influencers
- Help to devise and implement strategies to achieve client goals
- Design and manage events for clients
To succeed, you should have previous political and/or agency experience in the property and planning sector or a passion for local government, and a knack for speaking to communities. Other essential requirements for this role include:
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to manage your own workload
- Good management skills
- Knowledge of local government or client relationship management
