This position will play a key role in leading the organisations efforts in securing additional support for UK exporters to help drive Government strategy.
The role involves working with the organisation's policy experts, members and a wide range of stakeholders to help communicate the industry's economic importance.
Ideal for someone with a minimum 2 years' experience, maybe at executive level looking for a step up.
Graduate degree in politics, international relations, economics or similar equivalent
Knowledge of wider economic policy, economic research and/or analysis
Professional experience in UK and EU public affairs and policy development, gained in a corporate, trade association, consultancy environment or government department
Knowledge of political processes and a firm grasp of key public policy issues affecting the manufacturing sector particularly in relation to exports and supply chains
Strong analytical, organisational, project management, presentational and written skills with the ability to credibly represent in committees and stakeholder discussions, and communicate effectively to diverse audiences
Ability to learn quickly and solve problems
Strong time management skills with the ability to work across a variety of different policy areas and teams, managing conflicting deadlines
Excellent networking skills with the ability to build and retain relationships and develop opportunities to collaborate with key external stakeholders
