An exciting opportunity for an experienced Policy professional with a passion for sustainability and environmental issues to join a leading membership body in London. Working closely with the wider policy and communications team, you'll be driving cutting edge initiatives and supporting environmental policy change to strengthen industry progress.

Key accountabilities:

• Take the lead on developing positions and representing the organisation to Government and stakeholder groups

• Manage and develop Community group for members covering all environmental, ethical and sustainable issues
• Supporting and advising on impacts of sustainability and environmental policies and any implementation for the purpose of compliance

• Maintain a strong network of key officials and stakeholders within the UK and Europe to build alliances designed to deliver pragmatic and evidenced based measures to safeguard the environment as part of a vibrant future.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a policy role- this could be within a trade association, civil service, corporate or charitable organisation

• Enthusiasm and genuine interest in the strategic issues in the current and emerging sustainability agenda

• A trusted and pro-active team player, supporting team colleagues in driving a culture of continual improvement

• A confident communicator, able to work with senior stakeholders using a range of communication and influencing skills
