Overview

Policy Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Policy professional to join an influential and impactful organisation in London, leading on a spectrum of policy matters across the Fintech industry.

This position will manage both public and private stakeholder engagement at senior level including, government officials and regulatory executives. The Manager will be looked to as a subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and contributing to influential reports and papers.

Key Responsibilities

* Leading on external influencing and engagement, identifying opportunities to partner with and engage externally on public policy issues to affect positive change

* Identifying policy issues and taking ownership of specific work streams and providing secretariat for steering groups

* Developing high quality policy papers and briefings on fintech and innovation policy and strategy issues

* Representing the organisation at external events as a subject matter expert

Skills and Competencies

* An understanding of the policy issues surrounding financial services

* Strong understanding of policy development with the ability to draft high quality reports and briefing documents

* Demonstrable experience representing an organisation within a political setting

* Proven experience building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* A degree, or other equivalent, relevant qualification is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
