An opportunity has arisen for an experienced government relations professional to join an exciting company in the financial services sector.
This Government Relations Advisor position will focus on a spectrum of subjects, and contribute to (as well as lead) on campaign planning, political engagement and putting together agendas, reports and papers for active committees.
In addition, you will:
- Deliver the company's influencing objectives by influencing government policy to change to deliver objectives for the construction industry
- Share clear impact reporting on planned activity and lessons learned from this work to support continuous improvement
- Coordinate and support senior leadership team members as part of an integrated project-based approach with internal and external colleagues
- Raise awareness of the company with key influencers
To apply for this Government Relations role, you will need a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. You will also require the following:
- Strong policy understanding, both technically and operationally, along with a good understanding of the UK political system from working with MPs, ministers and civil servants
- Experience managing, implementing and evaluating proactive political engagement campaigns, including policy development
- Experience in the financial services sector

We have recently placed our Head of Public Affairs using Murray McIntosh, an important hire for us as we are about to enter a period of transition for the organisation so the role is key support to our Director of Policy and Public Affairs.
