Electrical Engineer

Overview

Our client, specializing in battery storage and power systems, is located in the northeast of Florida and is currently in search of an Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role primarily focuses on overseeing the complete life cycle of digital control hardware and software for our clients' products. Collaborating with a skilled engineering team, you'll have the freedom to bring innovation to the conceptualization and design phases of product development.


The base salary for the role is in the region of $90k - $100k and our client offers full health insurance, paid vacation and other personal benefits in an inclusive and supportive environment. Due to the nature of our clients work, applicants must be a U.S Citizen or Green Card Holder.


Role & Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and enhance electronic board assemblies, engaging in tasks such as circuit design, schematic creation, analysis, PCB layout and fabrication, and embedded programming for both new and existing systems.
  • Generate and validate comprehensive engineering documentation, encompassing electrical schematics, line diagrams, BOMs, and QC tests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing products, prioritizing quality and sustainability enhancements.
  • Execute the prototyping, validation, and troubleshooting of circuit designs, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate in specifying new products by translating customer requirements and integrating assembly and engineering design principles.
  • Provide valuable support to the sales team by interpreting customer needs through product design and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the production team to design for manufacturability, delivering and interpreting electrical drawings for assembly, and defining tests to ensure adherence to quality and electrical standards.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering standards and operating procedures.
  • Define and conduct developmental and qualification testing to guarantee that products meet electrical design requirements and create product data sheets.
  • Propose, develop, and implement tools and practices to enhance productivity and capabilities within the Technology Team.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Possess over 3 years of experience in a position involving full lifecycle product development responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exhibit the capability to formulate and execute test plans effectively.
  • Have a track record of building and testing prototypes.
  • Showcase expertise in embedded programming of microcontrollers.
  • Display familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
