Field Engineer Electrical

£40,000-£45,000 per annum

Overview

General Duties:

  • Prepare, install, and service equipment involving electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation tasks within competency limits.
  • Conduct final fit-out and testing of new systems at client locations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing.
  • Perform proactive site visits to assess maintenance needs.
  • Respond to technical queries and provide support to client personnel.
  • Assist with scheduling equipment for deployment and maintenance planning.
  • Manage stock levels in vehicles and storage areas, ensuring accurate records for inventory and procurement.
  • Source quotes and raise requisitions for parts and services.

Experience and Certifications:

  • ECS Gold Card - Installation Electrician
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
  • AM2 Certification
  • IEE Wiring Regulations (18th Edition preferred)
  • Experience in industrial or commercial electrical work, ideally in construction or utilities
  • CSCS card holder
  • SSSTS/SMSTS/IOSH training (desirable)

Required Knowledge:

  • Engineering principles relevant to technical services and project support.
  • Familiarity with industrial or construction wastewater systems.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Strong grasp of electrical health and safety regulations.

Mobile/Field role across East Midlands - requires full UK licence with no more than 6 points

37.5 hr work week (no overtime or weekend)
