ROLE: Chief Executive Office (CEO) at The British Society of Plant Breeders (BSPB).

BSPB is the representative body for the UK plant breeding industry, sitting at the intersection of science, agriculture and food security. BSPB works with breeders across the UK's major crops, supporting the innovation, investment and intellectual property protection behind new variety development.

BSPB carries established credibility across government, regulators and the farming community, with a membership spanning independent SMEs to major international breeding companies.

The organisation sits at an inflection point. Regulatory change, new breeding technologies and growing pressure on UK food security are placing BSPB's advocacy role at the centre of national conversations on innovation and food resilience — and the organisation is looking to become a sharper, more influential voice in shaping that agenda.

For a senior leader, this is an opportunity to reposition a well-established institution as a modern, assertive force in UK agri-policy, with direct influence on IP frameworks, innovation policy and the future of a sector close to national food supply.
