Welcome to Future Biogas

Carbon reduction, without compromise

Future Biogas is building something the world hasn't seen before: plants that produce unsubsidised green gas and capture carbon at the same time. These plants help major corporates decarbonise their heat and gas supply and offset their remaining emissions. The company's partnership with AstraZeneca, which supports AstraZeneca's Ambition Zero Carbon programme, shows the model working in practice.

At the heart of every Future Biogas site is anaerobic digestion, a process that converts a wide range of feedstocks into biogas. This is either used to generate green electricity or upgraded to biomethane and injected into the UK's national gas network.

With backing from 3i Infrastructure plc, part of FTSE 100 investment manager 3i Group, Future Biogas is rolling out its next generation of plants. They build on the 11 sites it already operates across the UK. This is a growing fast business and its voice in policy and public debate matters more than ever.

People power the energy transition

Future Biogas want to work with the best and that means more than experience and skills. It's looking for people who care about the work, collaborate across teams and contribute ideas that move the business forward. As the company enters its next phase of growth, there's real scope to make an impact and shape the industry's future. Ready for your next leap?

Influence the policy behind green gas

The Policy and Advocacy team at Future Biogas represents the interests of the business, working to ensure public policy supports incentives for companies to take part in biomethane markets. The team keeps Future Biogas at the heart of the right conversations. It builds relationships that benefit both the business and the wider energy transition, and helps shape policy across renewable energy, agriculture and carbon capture.
