How we're making a difference:

365

The number of trees we've planted across globally since November 2023.

33.55

The tonnes of CO2 captured by our net zero initiatives, this equates to 0.26 hectares that we have reforested.

£3000

So far this year we've raised £3000 for our selected charities Shooting Star Children's Hospice and Mary Hare Foundation.

Working towards Net Zero recruitment.

As part of our ongoing efforts to achieve a Net Zero recruitment process, in November 2023 we launched a new initiative to Plant a Tree Per Placement. We have supported tree planting globally.

As part of this initiative, we also declared a 'Net Zero Website'. Simply scroll to the bottom of our website and you’ll see a badge which automatically compensates for all the CO2 emissions our website generates!

Volunteering and fundraising for our chosen 2024 charities.

This year, members of our team set themselves the ambitious goal of completing the Three Peaks Challenge in under 24 hours, all in support of two incredible causes: Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and The Mary Hare Foundation.

The challenge began at 6:25am on Saturday 28th June 2025, with the team tackling Ben Nevis first, followed by Scafell Pike and finally Snowdon. After a gruelling climb and descent of all three peaks, they crossed the finish line at 5:15am on Sunday, completing the challenge in an impressive 22 hours and 50 minutes. In preparation, the team spent the early part of 2025 training extensively, climbing Pen y Fan several times and taking on various other local trails and mountains to build endurance and resilience.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices delivers essential care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, along with their families, across south-west and north-west London and Surrey. Their expert support is available around the clock, every day of the year, from diagnosis through to end-of-life and bereavement. They currently assist around 600 families, plus a further 400 who are bereaved. It costs £12 million annually to run the service, relying heavily on charitable donations to keep going.

The Mary Hare Foundation raises vital funds for Mary Hare School, he UK’s leading residential school for deaf children. The Foundation enables the development of key facilities, including boarding accommodation, arts centres, and specialist learning resources, ensuring the school can continue to offer an outstanding educational environment beyond the limits of public funding.

Thank you to all of those that have supported us this year.

Creating an inclusive hiring process.

When it comes to equal opportunities, we often see a lot of sweeping statements. We talk a lot about the need to make things fairer within the hiring process, within the workplace and in terms of career progression, but unfortunately, we rarely see any real change.

We know that diverse teams perform better, and our consultants are committed to working with our network to ensure that this focus is embedded across each assignment we undertake. Diversity, we believe, cannot take place without inclusivity, and vice versa. At Murray McIntosh, diversity and inclusion has always been embedded in everything we do.

Eradicating Modern Slavery.

In today's global landscape, the eradication of modern slavery stands as a paramount ethical imperative for businesses worldwide. We recognise that the fight against modern slavery isn't merely a moral duty but a strategic necessity. By upholding stringent anti-slavery policies and practices throughout our operations and supply chains, we not only safeguard human rights but also, foster trust among clients, and uphold the principles of fairness and justice. Our commitment to eliminating modern slavery underscores our dedication to responsible business conduct and our unwavering belief that every individual deserves dignity, respect, and freedom.

  • Supply Chain: To ensure modern slavery risks are being assessed in our supply chain, we have conducted a full review of supplier assessments. As such, we have a 100% supplier completion target for new and existing suppliers with an annual turnover >£10k. In addition, we are working to improve supplier awareness of modern slavery policy and procedures with has resulted in us including a modern slavery statement and related codes in our annual supplier assessment..
  • Employees: While our employees operate across different areas and receive training tailored to their role, we have introduced a new modern slavery training module which is mandatory to all employees. Working with the recruitment sector, awareness of this crime is of paramount importance.

We welcome clients and suppliers to review our policies and processes, if you'd like more information please do not hesitate to contact us.
