DevOps Engineer

Overview

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Delivery Systems: Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies to streamline the development pipeline.
  • Automated Deployment: Design and maintain automated deployment processes to ensure efficient and consistent delivery of software.
  • Infrastructure and Application Operations: Monitor, support, and enhance infrastructure and application performance to ensure stability and scalability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software developers to automate and streamline operations, facilitating smoother collaboration between development and operations teams.
  • Code Deployments & Updates: Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes to ensure smooth and timely releases.
  • Cloud and Open-Source Technologies: Work with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and open-source technologies to build and optimize infrastructure.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security controls, governance processes, compliance validation, and follow best practices for secure, compliant deployments.

Experience Required:

  • Linux Administration: Strong background in Linux administration, including managing and configuring Linux-based systems.
  • Shell Scripting: Proficiency in Shell scripting for automating tasks and managing infrastructure.
  • Docker: Experience with Docker for containerization and container orchestration.
  • Python: Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and system management.
  • Cloud Services: Experience with cloud services such as AWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • Networking Technologies: Understanding of scalable networking technologies for cloud and infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar development or DevOps role.

Desirable Skills:

  • Terraform: Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and provisioning cloud resources.
  • Docker Swarm: Knowledge of Docker Swarm for container orchestration and clustering.
  • AWS Services: Familiarity with AWS Lambda, ECS, EC2, ECR for serverless computing, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with GitLab, TeamCity, or other CI/CD tools for managing builds, deployments, and workflows.

This role is ideal for a DevOps Engineer who is highly skilled in cloud technologies, automation, and systems management, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
