FPGA and Signal Processing Engineer

£65,000-£75,000 per annumCambridge

Overview

Murray McIntosh are looking for a FPGA and Signal Processing Engineer to join a client of ours based just outside of Cambridge.

In the role you will be instrumental in the development of signal processing chains to enable the development of products and services for the client's customers. Due to the consultative nature of the work, you will be working on projects for customers across a number of different industries, from Defence to MedTech.

In this role you will work within a team of SMEs to find novel solutions to the client's customers' needs.

Essential Skills and Experience

- BEng/BSc/MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g. Physics, Electronics, Computer Science etc.)

- Experience of high speed digital design FPGA flows

- Comfortable using VHDL or Verilog

- Experience with FPGA platforms such as Altera, AMD Xilinx etc.

- Over three years of post-grad experience in software design and development

- Experience using Matlab or Python

Desirable Experience

- Knowledge of sensor systems (e.g. sonar, radar etc.)

- OpenCPI experience

- C/C++
