SURVEY & PRIZE DRAW: PRIVACY NOTICE

This notice explains how we handle your data specifically for the Water Industry Labour Report survey and prize draw. It sits alongside our main Privacy Statement, which applies to Murray McIntosh's wider activities.

The survey itself is anonymous

We do not ask for your name, email, or any identifying details as part of the survey questions themselves. If you also leave your email address to enter the prize draw, that email is kept entirely separate and cannot be connected back to your answers.

If you choose to leave your email address, this is entirely optional and is only used for two things:

Entering you into the prize draw.

Contacting you if you win, on 30 November 2026.

Your email address, if you provide it, is stored separately and cannot be traced back to your survey answers, including your company name.

Marketing communications

If you tick the separate box to say yes, we'll also add your email address to our mailing list to send you updates, insights, and news from Murray McIntosh. This is entirely optional and separate from entering the prize draw, you can enter the draw without ticking this box. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us using the details below.

 Lawful basis for processing

We process your email address for the prize draw on the basis of your consent, given by voluntarily providing it. If you've also ticked the marketing box, we process your email for that separate purpose on the same basis, your consent, which you're free to withdraw at any time. Withdrawing consent for the draw won't be possible after the draw has taken place and that data has been deleted, but you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any point.

How long we keep your data

Anonymous survey responses are retained for up to three years to produce and reference the Water Industry Labour Report and related analysis.

Email addresses collected only for the prize draw are deleted within 90 days once the draw is complete and winners have been paid out.

If you've ticked the marketing box, your email address is kept on our mailing list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

Who we share your email address with

We do not share your email address with any third party. Typeform, our survey platform, processes this data on our behalf as a data processor, under their standard data processing terms.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Full details of your rights are set out in our main Privacy Statement.
