Murray McIntosh are searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to start work for a key client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below:
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed designs using Solid Edge/Inventor CAD Software
- Lead mechanical engineering activities across several projects
- Strong mechanical engineering background is essential
- Carry out calculations, reports & produce compliance documentation
- Previous defence industry experience would be preferred
- Act as design authority reviewing and approving design , calculations & specifications of team members
- Produce functional specifications, test plans, risk assessments, 3D models, 2D drawings & GAs etc
- Experience of hydraulics, lifting equipment or structural mechanical design is required
- FEA experience would be advantageous
- Candidates need to be eligible for SC clearance; if you are currently cleared that would be an advantage.
